New York City Law Department: Notice on Service of Process
  • "In light of Governor Cuomo’s Executive Order 202.8 tolling the period for service of process until April 19, 2020, the service window for the City of New York located at 100 Church Street, New York, New York 10007 is closed.  During this period, we have established an email address where the Law Department is now accepting service. The newly established email address for service is ServiceECF@law.nyc.govPlease note that service will be accepted via this method only for the City of New York and entities for which the Law Department is authorized to accept service. Service of process on individuals should continue to proceed in manner required by applicable law."

NYC Law Department:

Update from the Tort Division

 

NYC COMPTROLLER'S OFFICE:

The office is working remotely, but they do not anticipate any significant problems or delays in distributing payments. (3-17-2020)
 

NYC HOUSING AUTHORITY:

All attorneys are working remotely. The Housing Authority is still settling cases and their payments are continuing uninterrupted. There will be no evictions from March 16, 2020 through March 20, 2020. Please check their website for further information. (3-17-2020)
 

NYC TRANSIT AUTHORITY:

NYCTA is closed down until March 30, 2020, but all staff are working remotely. However, they are not able to distribute check payments due to lack of technological capabilities. (3-17-2020)
 

NYS INSURANCE FUND:

All staff are working remotely, but they do not anticipate any delay in distribution of settlement checks and payment. (3-17-2020)
